KnowboForm web site Promotion and Submission Software Tutorial
To create a site filter choose Tools > Filter & Sort... from the menu or click on Filter... button below the site list.
The Filter and Sort window will be displayed. Perform the steps below to create a filter based on the the following characteristics:
Site Category: *GEN
Sites that offer free submission

Choose *Directory - General from the Site Category pull-down list
Choose Confirmed Yes from the Free Submission pull-down list
Make all other choices as shown in the picture above
That's it. You have created a filter. You may click on the Count Filter button to see how many sites KnowboForm will select (as shown below) once the filter is applied. If you press the Apply button, this window will be closed, the filter will be applied and the selected sites will be displayed in the site list.

However if you also want to restrict the subset to "Sites that do not require registration" you have to perform the following bit of extended steps:
Click on the Adhoc SQL tab. The name implies that you can write ad-hoc SQL on your own to create complex queries. However, for this exercise we don't have to write any SQL query.
Click on Generate Filter button. This will consider the options you selected earlier on the Filter & Sort tab and generate SQL on your behalf. You can see the generated SQL in the Site Filter text box (see the picture below).
From the Choose Field pull-down list select IsRegReqd. This is the field name that stores the information about whether or not a site requires registration.
From the Choose Value pull-down list select Confirmed No.
Now press the Append button to append the additional criteria to the previously generated SQL.

You can click on the Count Adhoc button to have the final count of the selected sites. As expected sites count should be much less than the previous count (shown in the picture below).
Now as you are done you may click on Apply and see your filtered-out site list.
