To evaluate the following expression, for example: (1+((2*3)^4-5)+6)/7 Simply type in the expression in the calculator Expression area, press enter and you are done. The result will be printed in the calculator Result area.
Edit your expression if you make a mistake For example, in the above expression, if you forget to place your brackets in the appropriate positions simply edit the expression. Standard windows editing keys (Arrow keys, Delete, Backspace, Insert, etc.) work in the expression area.
Calculate and convert with unit Calculate physical quantities with unit writing directly in calculator Expression area. The resulting unit will be displayed in default standard unit. For example, result of the expression ft.+ m. will be displayed as 1.3048 m. as m. is the default unit for length. Expression: ft. +
m. However, you can convert the result to a different unit using to operator as below: Expression: ft. +
m. to yd. Note that the expression unit and conversion unit after to operator must be dimensionally homogeneous. Otherwise a dimension conflict will occur.
Click on Clear button on the Calculator keyboard or press [Ctrl+L] to clear out both the expression and result area and to start writing a new expression. You can also select Clear Calculation option from the Result and history area context menu that pops up when you right click on result area or history area when visible. Calculator has three context menus 1) Expression area context menu 2) Result and history area context menu and 3) Form context menu.
Expression area context menu pops up when you [Right click] on the calculator Expression area. It offers you standard functions such as: Undo, Cut, Copy, Paste, Delete, and Select All to edit your expression.
Result and history area context menu pops up when you right click on Result area or History area when visible. The menu offers the following options:
Form context menu pops up when you right click on any exposed area other than Expression area, Result area, Calculator keyboard, and History area. When calculator is in docked mode, [Right Clicking] on the title bar also displays this context menu. This context menu offers the following options:
Select expression from history Dicom preserves the calculation in History area. You can select your previous expression from history. To display History area click on the Show History on the context menu. History is displayed in place of Calculator keyboard.
To select an expression from the history - [Double Click] on the expression. To display the keyboard and hide the history - click on Show Keyboard from the Result and history area context menu. To clear out the history - select Clear History option from the same context menu.
